A quick guide to using the addon manager in FS2 Utilities. Page Six
and how to create jr2 files for distribution.
This is the screen you should be presented with.

Step Fifteen: This is the box that will appear after selecting archive text from the dropdown list, in the previous step. All you have to do is type whatever information you want to be seen about your addon into the little box at the bottom, and press ok, try to keep your text within the size of the box if you can, because if you try to put too much info in there it will scroll right off of peoples screens, and into the next venue :))))))))))). When you have finished inputting your information click on the ok button in the top left, and you will be taken to the next screen shown below, almost there, Phew.......

Step Sixteen: And here we are after inserting your information text file into your addon, back at the main add-on manager screen, now we need to save all that hard work that we have done by clicking on the file button again in the top left hand corner, and this time we select save from the drop down menu, after clicking save we are then taken to the screen below.

Step Seventeen: This is the window or something similar ( depending on your operating system ) that will open up, asking us where we want to save our new addon, and what we are going to call it, in the screenshot above I have typed pml.jr2 into the file name box, you can call your jr2 file whatever you like as long as there are no spaces in the name, I always try to keep it as short and as close to the name of the addon that I am creating as I can. all you do then is click on save and voila you are almost there. You will see the little box shown below pop up.

Step Eighteen: This is the little box that pops up and tells you that you have saved all your hard work, it gives you the location of where your jr2 file has been saved to, all you need to do now is click ok on this and then shut down your FS2utilities program and go to the folder where you saved your addon jr2 ( as I am in the screenshot shown below )

Step Nineteen: The last and final stage ( thank god you say ) above you can see that I have found the jr2 file we have just created, and all that is left to do now is zip it up and send it out into the Fishim world, as an addon hopefully that they will all enjoy using.
I hope that this quick guide :))))) is of some help to someone out there, and I am sorry that it turned into more of a slow slog, rather than a quick guide as I intended, but I can assure anyone that is going to attempt making a jr2 for the first time, that it is easier than it looks, made even more so by the great FS2 utilities program.
